Though college doesn’t lend much free time, let alone time for traveling, planning a surprise visit to see your partner could be just the thing to reconnect with your partner and strengthen your relationship.

Chances are you and your partner plan your visits to see each other months in advance. As soon as the flight is booked or the road trip is mapped out, you commence the waiting game. You count down the days, the hours, the minutes, the seconds and even the milliseconds until your partner will finally arrive and you will once again get to hold him in your arms.

Planning out a weekend to visit when you and your partner aren’t buried under a mountain of homework can be difficult when you both know the visit is coming. Even harder is finding a weekend when your partner won’t have plans or piles of homework to finish when you’re planning on surprising her at her doorstep.

A surprise visit means you can get all your schoolwork done before your trip, but your partner will have no idea she needs to keep her weekend homework free. Make sure you know when your partner’s big projects and midterms are so you won’t be showing up the weekend before her life-altering exam.

No one needs to have a panic attack over that 10-page research paper they must now finish in one day because of your unexpected visit!
